Every year on Labor Day thousands of revelers gather for a noisy celebration of Caribbean culture, binding attributes which are reggae rhythms, counters, stretching for several miles, and fancy costumes. Carnival West Indian-American Day Parade is considered the most colorful and spectacular show of autumn in New York.
He headed the parade Mayor Michael Bloomberg (Michael Bloomberg). Beside him was seen former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell (Colin Powell).

West Indies (West Indies) - is the traditional name of the islands of the Caribbean Sea. The territory of the West Indies, situated between South and North America and consists of several groups of the Greater and Lesser Antilles and the Bahamas. Living in the Caribbean Islands have preserved their culture and traditions. Every year, people from the West Indies, taking part in the New York carnival.
